The Bali Beans story begins with our family and a deep connection to the land, farming, and coffee in Bali.
That heritage shaped the way we grow, produce, and understand coffee—not simply as a product, but as part of Bali's people, land, and community.
Nyoman and Wayan planted their first coffee trees in 1981. Four years later, in 1985, the family celebrated its first coffee harvest—the same year Ayu Sudana was born.
Ayu grew up alongside the plantation, learning from her parents, the farmers, and the land itself. That family foundation eventually became the story from which Bali Beans developed.
As the business evolved, we began bringing more of the coffee journey together—from farming and processing to roasting and building a more direct relationship with the people who enjoy our coffee.
